February is almost over, with just one day left... Leap Day!
Special shout out to anyone born on leap day! I remember back in highschool going to my friend's grandmother's "Sweet 16"... definitely not looking like a highschooler anymore, but hey, that's definitely the perk of being born on leap day! So just gotta give that little shoutout to all the 'leapers'.
Anywho, back to March.. some fun events coming up! Big one of course is St. Pat's day!
March 7th - Free day at the Denver Art Museum. Admission is usually $10 for adults, so take advantage of this while you can! They have free days more throughout the year if you aren't able to make it, but definitely worth checking out.
March 14th- Hello, St. Patrick's Day! I love any reason to celebrate, so you better believe I will be at the St. Pat's Day Parade in LoDo. The parade starts at 9:30am, and streets will be blocked off starting at 9am, so make sure you're not only parked, but on the side of the street you're supposed to meeting your friends at, or you might end up separated for the entire thing (which has happened to me in the past). The parade will go from Wynkoop at 19th street, 17th street in front of Union Station, then Blake Street. There will be colorful floats, music, and of course after the parade there will be a lot of bars downtown offering green beer. Our favorite place to eat before the shenanigans begins? Mangiamo Pronto! A quaint and delicious Italian cafe right near all the action.
March 19th - Third Eye Blind @ Mission Ballroom. We saw Third Eye Blind last year in June at Levitt Pavilion with Jimmy Eat World. It was such a fun throwback, even a good time through all the rain we encountered. This time around, they will be playing at Mission Ballroom, so no bad weather to worry about. Missions is an awesome music venue that just opened up last year in RiNo, definitely worth checking out if you haven't been yet.
March 21st- It's time for the Mile High Beer Fest! There will be food trucks, live music, and 25+ breweries participating in this awesome event! No dogs are allowed so make sure you keep them at home, and be safe and rideshare to/from the event. Ready to get a taste of the best craft beers in Colorado? Grab your tickets before it sells out.
